What it is

A student ID from the student's own college

The college stays the official issuer. StudyPass issues and checks every card the same way, whichever college it comes from.

  • Every card is issued by a registered Australian training provider. StudyPass confirms each college's registration on training.gov.au and rechecks it daily.
  • College staff check and approve every photo before the card goes live.
  • The card is live: a moving strip, a ticking clock and a signed QR code that changes every 30 seconds. A screenshot of the live code doesn't pass. Wallet passes and proof images use a fixed link, so check the photo too.
  • Cancelled when a student leaves. The college can cancel a card at any time and it stops verifying straight away.
  • A Full-time badge shows only when the college records the student as full-time.
